Around Here - Discount Days

Someone asked me the other day why my husband and I hardly ever go to the movies. Well, it's because the price of a movie ticket has sky-rocketed! Now that they have installed luxury recliners pretty much everywhere, it's approximately $15 a ticket. For someone like me, who loves pinching pennies, that's too much to spend by the time you buy 2 tickets and of course, popcorn. 
I realized some of you might feel the same way, especially if you have to buy 4 or 5 tickets when you go! 

So where can you get a cheap movie these days? 
I put together this little list of movie theaters and other places around here that offer "Discount Days". 
What my husband and I like to do when we do go to the movies is skip the luxury seats and head to the "old" Folsom Movie Theater - tickets are still only $7.50 there every day for general admission!
They also offer a discounted price of $5.00 on Tuesdays, all day! This is so great because it is good for all Cinemark theaters in our area as well, including Roseville, Arden, Elk Grove and more.  

Regal Cinemas also offers a discount on Tuesdays of $6.25. You can find Regal Theaters in El Dorado Hills, Placerville, Elk Grove, and Roseville. Click here to find one near you! 

Palladio in Folsom has a discounted price on movies for everyone on Tuesdays of $5.00. 

The Sunrise Mall Movie Theater plays movies that may be just a little outdated or first came out a couple weeks ago but the price is right. They play movies every day for $3.99. 

If you are also interested in taking the family to eat before or after the movie, here are a couple dining deals worth mentioning:

Applebee's: Kids ages 12 and under eat free on Tuesdays when an adult purchases a full price entrée.
Chevy's:  Kids 12 and under can enjoy one kid’s meal for $1 every Wednesday, per adult entrée purchased. Available all day.
Denny's: Kids eat free 4-10PM on Tuesdays. 
Chili's: Kids 12 & under eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée.
Chick-Fil-A: 5:30 to 7:30 pm — Kids get a free kids meal.
Coco's Restaurant: Kids eat free Monday - Thursday, 4Pm - Close.
