What's a View Worth?

Recently here in El Dorado County we have had more and more clients purchasing particular homes for "the view" or for "privacy". A lot of people are coming from larger cities or surrounding areas where maybe their neighbor's house looked right into their backyard and they are ready for a different kind of lifestyle.
But the issue then is trying to decide what a particular property is worth because of that privacy factor or the very special view. 
When a buyer first walks into a home, the things they might be looking for to justify the price are upgrades/updates, such as new counter tops or flooring, or maybe they want to know how old the roof is. However, House Canary recently published an article that discusses the top 5 hidden factors that influence the price of a home that people don't often consider.
