The State Fair is almost here! The dates this year are July 13-29 and you won't want to miss it! The fair is at Cal Expo at 1600 Exposition Blvd, Sacramento, 95815. There is something for everyone at this spectacular event:
- Exhibits - of all the exhibits, my absolute favorite every year is the CA Counties. Participants from each county put together amazing showcases of the different culture and attractions of their county and it is so cool to see!
- Horse Racing - A full day event in itself! At the Miller Lite Racetrack Grandstand.
- Animals - Petting Zoo, Horse Arena, Splash Dogs, and a huge barn where you can visit all the animals!
- Shopping - From arts and crafts, gizmos, gadgets, to the very latest in household goods, hot tubs, cars, barbecues, and so much more you can browse to your heart's content in one of the air conditioned buildings or the open-air area!
- Concerts - Every night on the Golden 1 Stage! Free with fair admission or you can purchase a reserved seat to get up close and personal.
- Rides - One of my favorite parts of the fair! I love to ride the Ferris Wheel and see the sunset and the beautiful view of the fair from the sky!
- and don't forget FOOD! - Wine Garden, yes please! Plus, anything fried you could every dream of! My favorite is the deep fried snickers. I mean, is there anything better? If you didn't have a reason to go before, there's your reason.
