Around Here - April Events

This calendar is the most requested post I get! So many of my neighbors, friends, and clients are here from out of the area and month to month are wondering what fun events there are to do in the area. I love to let people in on the little happenings in and around our town! There is something for everyone!

April Events 2018



April 6&7 - Book Sale at the Placerville Libary (Fair Lane Court) - Fill a non-paper reusable bag with books for only $5! They have books, audio books, video tapes, and more! 10am-3pm 

April 6 - First Friday of each month is Dance Night at the Shingle Springs Community Center on South Shingle Road, starting at 7pm. Bring a partner or come to meet someone new! $5 at the door. 

April 14 - Living History Day at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park Coloma - 10am-3Pm - If you have not had a chance to visit this park, I highly suggest you take the time! It is a beautiful and historic part of our area. 



April 21 - Naturalist Walk - Wildlife Biologist Heather Johnson will share frog, bird and bat observations in diverse open space habitats - 6:30-8:30pm. Sign up: julie@arconservancy.gov or 530-621-1224

April 21 - Earth Day Celebration - 10-4pm at the Placerville Library - Live music, info booths, children's activities, earth-friendly arts and crafts, raffle, food trucks, and Smokey the Bear. For more info contact lindakhoward@yahoo.com, 530-62-6659

April 22 - Author's Day at the Placerville Shakespeare Club - includes author presentations , Q&A, book sales, book signings & refreshments. Tickets are $10 - doors open at noon. www.placerville-shakespeare.com

April 28 & 29 - Folsom Garden Club Tour - 11-4pm, Self Guided tour of the "Gardens of Folsom" will create ideas for your own garden! Master Gardeners are available to answer questions, plus a plant and bake sale. Tickets are $20, and raises funds for scholarships and grants to educate area students and promote Folsom beautification. www.folsomgarden.org

April 28 - Book Sale at the El Dorado Hills Library - $1 for each pound of books! 8-4pm. 

April 30 - 6th Annual Golf for Kids Sake at Serrano Golf Club - Hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters - 530-626-1222
